Hitachi Wins If Award 15/03/2008
At the internationally recognized IF Design awards in Hanover this year, some the biggest players in the construction industry showcased their biggest developments. They were awarded prizes in over 35 different companies for product innovation and technology design. One of the many international manufacturers awarded for quality construction equipment and innovative range of products was Hitachi Construction Machinery Co. Ltd. With 11 awards handed out in the product design award for the transportation category, Hitachi were pleased to announce they were one of the 11 others also chosen for the award.

Tractors, Trailers Rolling In For Four States Agricultural Expo 04/03/2008
The latest in farm equipment like tractors, horse trailers and other agrarian wonders are all in place for the Four States Agricultural Exposition which opens Thursday. The expo will feature new exhibits, top industry speakers and 150 vendors will be showcasing products varying from large tractors and combines to giant water tanks made out of tractor tires. The expo will last for 4 days and last year saw 15,000 people attending for the expo’s 25th year. Organizers are expecting as much as 18,000 this year.
This year will also see the first ranch rodeo as well as a mounted shooting demonstration. Local ranchers will also get to put their prize bulls on display and at least 45 bulls ...

Rising Cost Of Tractors And Farm Supplies Threatening Alabama Farmers 02/03/2008
Some farmers in Alabama are finding it increasingly difficult to find money to start planting while the cost of farm equipment, tractors, fertilizers, and seeds are soaring. The rising profits felt in the farm economy also mean rising costs and prices for fueling tractors and planting equipment. Alabama is also still recovering from the late season freeze last Easter which reduced wheat and corn in some parts of the state. Robert Goodman an Auburn University farm economist said the price of fertilizer has doubled. This combined with the cost of seeds and soybean seeds which has doubled and in short supply is not boding too well for some farmers.
